Believe it or not when we were in college at UNC, Timshel and I wrote a screenplay with the Cameroonian Filmmaker Jean Pierre Bekolo about the girl in these photos. It was called ‘The Wordmaker.’ I’m not sure what happened to it, but I know it never came out. One more bit of odd rc trivia is that Timshel, Logan, and I acted in an unreleased film of Bekolo’s called “The Immortals†which was filmed in Durham while he was teaching at UNC in 2001.
